I noticed there doesn't appear to be any sign of a lock-on system. I wonder if they did away with it?

Added whole summary of info we know so far to my blog-page. So here it is. ;)
DEVELOPMENT
+Bloodborne is a game funded and owned by Sony, exact same situation as Demons Souls.
+Development started right after Artorias DLC was completed.
+Made by the same exact team as Demons/Dark 1.
+Was PS4 game from the start.
+Project Beast trailer is one year old and was pre alpha, Bloodborne shown at E3 was alpha.
+Game will be coming out in Spring 2015.

GAMEPLAY
+Standard souls customization from gender to equipment.
+Game has NO shields, such equipment piece does not exist for the player character.
+You can block with your weapons as last resort means.
+Miyazaki wants every battle to be a struggle and challenge.
+Game has dashing and rolling as evade movement, much faster than Souls games.
+Huge emphasis on dual wielding.
+Guns are meant to stun, not to deal huge damage.
+Little to no magic.
+Gadgets and such replacing magic.
+Miyazaki wants interesting items to dominate healing consumables.
+Most of the weapons have two modes that you activate by pressing triangle, you can modify almost every weapon.
+Using torch and lantern will be crucial, pitch black areas.
+Souls are in and will be used for standard character improvement.
+Game will be longer than Demons Souls.
+Enemies wander constantly, chase you, chase other enemies.
+World is interconnected like Dark Souls.
+Clocktower "bong" serves as enemy swapper, they change locations and respawn.

BEAST/BLOOD MECHANIC
+There is blood meter/gauge.
+Game has two types of blood.
+Tainted blood is everywhere and is used to boost and improve your character
+Pure blood is only carried by living humans such as players as NPCs.
+Absoring too much tainted blood will turn you into beast.
+In beast mode whole game changes from visual to gameplay.
+To return to human form you have to get pure blood, and you can do that by hunting other players online.

ONLINE
+Seamleass multiplayer, instead of ghosts - real players.
+Players will hunt down or help each other.
+Hunting "beast players" is important part of online.

Okay, yeah. I'm looking forward to this game. Those are some fun ideas. The only thing I'm worried about now is the execution, and since this is the same team that did Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 1...

Just thought I'd say thanks for the awesome thread Meph. I'll be sure to check for the latest info on here :).

I wonder if they actually did have people working on this instead of DkS 2 not using the full team of guys? What with it saying it has been worked on since Artorias DLC release. Apologies if this has already been mentioned in one of the articles I haven't had chance to read everything yet

No problem and yes two entirely different teams were/are working on DkS2 and Bloodborne since start. Most lead personalities went to work on Bloodborne right after DkS1 DLC, that is why ppl call DkS2 made by B-team in insulting manner but yeah (Miyazaki and his team rather distance themselves from DkS2 in Bloodborne interviews). ;)

There was no specific mention of starting classes, even tho they are referring to main "character" on videos as hunter. Also it was pointed out that character customization, from gender to equipment, will be the same. So we have to wait on confirmation, prob to gamescom. ;)

Through this you get one chance at redemption; lost health can be reclaimed by attacking an enemy, with a depleting yellow bar indicating the maximum that can be salvaged. I thought it would be natural move to make this regain system applied on at least some type of enemy, even tho after checking Bloodborne demo footage it wasnt implemented there and couldnt find it mentioned elsewhere of that eurogamer article so we shall see. :)
