People actually play dodgeball professionally? I thought that was just a joke? I vote we instead attempt to resurrect Mayan hip ball, complete with ritualistically sacrificing the losers.

Though if you're really extremely serious about this idea, the name should probably refer to your team's home city or state in some way, like some notable aspect of its history. So, what's the place?

Naming something after a history lesson has to sound fresh and shocking, or else it's just boring. Calling something after a notable aspect in history has to be something BIG!

How about the Nagasaki BOOM Divas!

or maybe we can do more contemporary, it's all history right? "The ISIS Crisis" would strike fear in the hearts of our opponents!

Dodgeball is a ton of fun. That'd be a blast to get into.
I'm not one to be P.C. but I think the league would have a problem with either of those names from a P.R. point of view. It's a shame, but America is just way to sensitive for that stuff these days.
Maybe things are different in "Antarctica", must be a cool place to live.
But if you're starting a team, it should reflect your personality. I won't pretend to know who you are off this site, so it's hard to make any serious decisions.
But something Souls related could work. Hollow Tossers, Soul Hunters, Spirit Ballers....
Me, I play a bunch of beer league hockey. Typically I've named my teams after stuff I like. The movie Snatch was something me and my buddies got a kick out of, so we were the Pikies for a while, after the Gypsy group Brad Pitt was a part of.
